Most preinstalled applications are not used. In order not to clog the device’s memory and not consume Internet traffic, it is advisable to delete them. However, this cannot be done by the standard method.
There are two ways to get rid of unnecessary factory installed applications. For the first, you will have to get root-rights, and for the second, a laptop with installed drivers for the phone and a USB cable is enough.
Attention : if you do not know the purpose of certain programs, it is highly recommended not to perform such manipulations. This could cause permanent damage to the device.
Steps to Remove Factory Apps from Android Phone without Root Access
1. Switch to developer mode on the smartphone. To do this, you need to quickly click on the firmware version 8 times in the “About phone” settings section.
2. Now pay attention to the “Advanced Settings” item that appears. Open the tab "For Developers" in it. Activate the USB Debugging feature.
3. Download the XiaomiADBFastbootTools program to your computer. Installation is not required; you only need to run the executable file after unpacking.
4. Connect your smartphone using the USB cable and click on Debloater. If everything is done correctly, a list of installed programs will open. Check the applications you want to uninstall and click Uninstall.
If some programs are not listed, click Add custom apps. In the field, you must manually enter the package name and confirm the action with the Done button. Where to get the name? Open the "All applications" item in the "Settings" directly of the device. When you click on the desired program, its settings open. The name of the package is in the information that appears when you click on the i symbol.
5. The last thing left to do is restart the phone so that the changes apply. Click in the Reboot into System program. Now you can disconnect the smartphone from the PC.
This method is suitable for cleaning any system on Android, not just MIUI.
