It is possible that in the future smartphones of the Chinese company Xiaomi, there will appear customized processors created in partnership with MediaTek, one of the world's leading developers of mobile chips.
A possible collaboration between Xiaomi and MediaTek was reported by the popular Chinese tech blog Digital Chat Station, which often publishes reliable information from the world of mobile technologies.
Project details were not disclosed. However, we can assume that we are talking about creating products that support fifth-generation mobile communications (5G), optimized for Xiaomi.
Note that Xiaomi and MediaTek already have experience of fruitful cooperation. For example, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone became the first device on the MediaTek Helio G90T platform in the world, and the Xiaomi Redmi 10X became the first device on the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chip.
And today the Redmi 9C and Redmi 9A smartphones debuted - one of the first devices in the world that included the latest MediaTek Helio G35 and Helio G25 processors.
Thus, the creation of customized processors looks like a logical step in the framework of expanding partnerships between the two companies. Perhaps the first results of this project will be presented before the end of this year.
