Xiaomi, in an online presentation, announced the potential bestseller Redmi Note 9 and the updated Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is slightly different from the previously presented smartphone for the Asian market.

The version of this smartphone for the international market is based on the Chinese version of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. She received a 6.67-inch IPS-display with a resolution of FHD + and a hole for the front camera in the center. The case has a metal frame and is covered with Gorilla Glass 5. Inside it has a Snapdragon 720G processor, complemented by 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal. The battery capacity was 5,020 mAh; there is support for fast charging at 30 W via the USB Type-C port (50% in 30 minutes). The corresponding adapter comes as standard.
The manufacturer called the main feature of the device cameras. The main one includes sensors at 64, 8 (119 °), 5 (macro) and 2 megapixels (depth of field). There is support for recording 4K video, the ability to shoot in RAW format and Pro-mode with a lot of manual settings. A 16MP sensor is designed for front-facing selfies. And yes, the smartphone received an NFC chip for contactless payment.

The usual Redmi Note 9 turned out to be very similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro, but there are two important differences - the body of the new item is made of plastic, and the familiar fingerprint scanner is located under the camera module. On the front, the smartphone can be distinguished by the front camera hole shifted to the left corner of the screen.
The display at Redmi Note 9 has a 6.53-inch IPS-matrix and Full HD + resolution. For performance, the MediaTek Helio G85 processor with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory is responsible. A microSD card slot is also present.
The main camera includes sensors for 48, 8, 2 and 2 megapixels. There is electronic image stabilization, macro mode and shooting with a wide angle of capture. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels.
The battery has a capacity of 5,020 mAh and supports fast charging at 18 W via the USB-C port. Among other things: NFC for contactless payments, an IR transmitter for controlling household appliances and a 3.5 mm jack for wired headphones. NFC is also announced, but only for some markets.
