iPhone 12 Pro can get 6 GB of RAM

This fall, Apple is due to release the flagship iPhone 12 series, which will include four models in three sizes. These are two basic models of the iPhone 12 with 5.4- and 6.1-inch displays and two top-end options with screens of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, which will replace the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. They will differ from each other not only in size, but also in the filling. In particular, models with the Pro prefix will have more RAM.

iPhone 12 Pro can get 6 GB of RAM

According to the source, the so-called iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will receive 6 GB of RAM, while the basic iPhone models will retain the same 4 GB of RAM as the iPhone 11. In this case, all four versions of the iPhone 12 will be based on the new Apple A14 Bionic chip. Thanks to the transition to the new 5-nanometer process technology, it should be more compact, more productive and energy efficient than the current Apple A13.

By the way, earlier that Apple will increase the amount of RAM in the Pro-models of the iPhone 12, said analyst Blayne Curtis from Barclays. The same opinion is shared by UBS experts.

The announcement of the iPhone 12 is expected in September. But due to the coronavirus epidemic, which caused supply problems and a drop in consumer activity, Apple delayed the launch of new smartphones for a couple of months.
