Microsoft will refuse support for PHP in Windows

According to an official statement from Microsoft project manager Dale Hirt, Windows will not support the next major PHP update to version 8.0. The corresponding message appeared on the PHP Lists portal. “We would like to let the community know about our future plans,” writes Dale Hirth.

At the same time, it is specified that PHP versions 7.3 and 7.4 will work without changes, and the Microsoft Support of PHP on Windows team will continue to work on fixing their bugs during the two-year life cycle. PHP 7.2 will no longer be supported in November of this year.
