A modern telephone is not only a daily assistant, but also a repository of personal information - documents, videos, photos, applications, etc. But there are situations when other people pick up a mobile device without permission. Today we’ll talk about a simple and free WTMP application that will allow you to identify an “intruder”.
Who took my phone? Who touched my phone?
This is what the program is called on Google Play , although after installation on a smartphone, an icon with the WTMP signature appears.
We start and see a dark screen with a protection activation button. But first, you need to understand the settings - click on the "gear" icon in the upper right corner:
- The password at the entrance is needed for additional protection so that outsiders can not view the program data and delete reports;
- Show notification - the status of the utility in the notification area will be displayed. On the one hand, you see that “snooping” is turned on. But the "intruder" can also understand what is the matter;
- The reporting limit is 99 or no limit. It is better to leave the default value so as not to clog the memory;
- Track unlocks and attempts. If you activate the second option, you can additionally specify the number of unsuccessful attempts (from 1 to 3), after which a photo will be taken using the front camera. Administrator privileges are also required for WTMP You can recall them and delete the application at any time by selecting the appropriate item in the settings;
- Sync with Google Cloud Storage . The function is paid (about $ 2). Allows you to immediately send reports to Google Drive, if you have an Internet connection;
- The theme is dark or light.
How to find out who used the phone without your permission?
Unfortunately, this software is only available for devices with the Android operating system. On iPhone, using this method does not work, due to iOS limitations.
- First, start the protection using the button on the main screen.
- We provide all the necessary accesses.
- Now block the smartphone.
- As soon as someone outsider tries to unlock the gadget, the utility will quietly take a picture of his face, write down the date and time the applications were launched.
- To view it, go to WTMP, disable tracking and see the report.
- The list may increase over time. Select the desired item for a detailed view.
At the top, a photo of the person who took your phone without permission is displayed (can be expanded to full screen). Unfortunately, digging deeper will not work. But this is quite enough to identify the "attacker" and his interests.
